兔gether ~ 拜年@ Taiping

what am i doing in Taiping? haha Taiping is my hubby's actual hometown...he was born here but at around 5 years old...the whole family is moved to Melaka...ever since then..melaka became his new hometown...

So to precisely said...Taiping is my FIL hometown...we will be having another family gathering in Taiping..yeah~!

but because time is quite rush..we only stay 1 night at Taiping

then just snap a shot at the entrance la...next time come back again baru go visit

CNY is very crowded la...but overall the environment is quite good

to see the night view of the oldest jail...oldest railway...oldest museum...

which one is Taiping food?

haha none of it...those genuine tasty Taiping food is closed during CNY la

too bad....but got possibility can try luck if the Lokbak kuih store is open tmr...keke

after the joyride...time for free lunch

hubby's cousin own this dim sum restaurant

all the kwok's family member were invited to have lunch together there

all of us eat till surrender

the restaurant just opened for the Kwok's family today...we 6 table 包the whole place~!

After the CNY countdown at Melaka...here at Taiping is another new experience for me

especially the 5.5 hours drive from Melaka to Taiping...cum jam along the way its so sickening

luckily its an annual event.....but this year end we will be going to Taiping again someone is getting married~! Hooray!

anyway i appreciate much this my "first" time a real visit to Taiping ignoring my earlier visit which was during my standard 6 school trip to penang and drop by at the lake garden...oh gosh..it was 17 years ago~!

At last...if i got to go Taiping again..for sure i wanna try that famous lobak kuih with pinkish sauces at Larut Matang and also the fried kuey tiew with fishball...and lots of other nice food there~! Gotta do some research first~!
