My Honeymoon Diary : 34 Hours.....9649 Kilometers......5996 Miles........


7 hours from KL to Doha
19 hours detained at Doha
8 hours from Doha to Budapest


Finally we touched the ground of Hungary~!

Peoples might have heard of Hungary.....Hungry?? Hungary?? Hungry??
Ya...its Hungary...not Hungry! but not really a lot of them know about Hungary's capital ~ Budapest

During our research for places to visit ....we had chosen Budapest as one of our destination
its was all because the fine introduction of the city attracted us~!

"Little Paris of Central Europe"
"Pearl of Danube"

After check-in the hotel.....maps ready, currency ready...let's start the action-packed tour at Budapest!!


First Stop: St. Stephens' Basilica 

 "hey baby...i found it~!"

 St. Stephen's Basilica is the main church of Budapest. It is an important example of neoclassical architecture, recently renovated. The 96 meter high dome can be seen from anywhere in the city and inside is decorated with mosaics.

 Next: Andrassy Ut, Opera House, House of Terror

Andrassy Ut is an iconic boulevard in Budapest, Hungary which was recognized as a World Heritage Site in 2002. Its the main streets of luxurious villas, boutiques, restaurants and not to be missed the art center.

State Opera House
Being rated as one of the most beautiful opera houses in the world. 

 House Of Terror
Its a museum objectively documents the terror of Nazi and  Communist eras. And its also a memorial to the victims of these regimes, including those detained, interrogated, tortured or killed in the building.

Next: Kodály körönd and Heroes Square

 Kodály körönd
A circus with beautifully painted old buildings and statues of four of Hungary's great heroes in each corner. 




 
 Heroes Square

As the major square at Budapest, as well as a landmark of Budapest, Heroes Square is the Millennium Memorial with statues of the leaders of the seven tribes that founded Hungary in the 9th century and other outstanding figures of Hungarian History.



Directly under this Heroes Square..its the Millennium Underground
The continental Europe's Oldest Metro which opened in 1898 to coincide with the 1000th anniversary of Magyar presence in Hungary.

After a long-hour walking tour in the city...its time for dinner~~!
