Today going to Malaysia Immigration Office to renew passport. I know that the Immigration department at PJ would be pack almost everyday. So I decided to try at Putrajaya.
Reach there around 0915. Not hard to find because there are signboard around. Best part, plenty of parking space and it's free.
Putrajaya Immigration Office is in Bangunan Chancery Place

Convenient shop where you can take passport photo, buy drinks, snacks, photostat document.
Aroound 20+ people waiting their turn. Did you see the kiosk on the right? Non of them use the kiosk. Weird. User interface of this machine pretty decent. Simple Bahasa Malaysia and English available with graphics. Submit old passport, scan IC, thumbprint, $300, together with a passport photo and a photostat IC. Done with less than 5minutes. At the end of the process, you will get a printout which you need that for collection 1 hour later. OK, time to go lepak.
There are some restaurant, bank, convenient shop within walking distance.
Almost an hour later, I got my new passport. Cool! No complaint. No regret of choosing Putrajaya for renewing passport. Tips: Prepare passport photo and photostat IC earlier can save you some time and few bucks.
