Merry Christmas ~ Dinner @ Home

To celebrate a special event, there is always an options for places to dine. Without any doubt, i've chosen mine....cooking at home!

It's always fun to cook at home especially when cooking with my hubby...its not difficult instead we enjoy our time very much from the food prep till we get it all done!

*****
We started off the day with this brunch~!
Smiley Eggs with baguette, bacon, black pepper sausage,
baby carrots, cherry tomatoes and slice of cheese
with a cup of Kopi O

and then....another round of shopping for food
(missed out a few items on last night shopping haha)
then at abt 3pm we again started to prep the dinner

Sneak peak
Great excitement hubby first time in the kitchen...
still okie la my kitchen...still tidy and not yet messed up by him as i expected hehe

while he was bz ...i started my work too
its time to show off all my christmas theme dining set hahahah

my designs
ribbon tied cutlery...nice hor??!!

Our dining table setup
Ginger bread house with the pink & purple candles

Let's start the dinner
Its a 5 course meal we had, worked out mainly by hubby

Smoked Salmon Salad with Feta Cheese
*notice my Santa Clause Serving Plate
very cute and brings more appetite haha

Wild Mushroom Soup served with Garlic Bread

A must have for the candle light dinner
Domaine Chandon Pinot Noir 2008

Appetizer
Grilled KING Tiger Prawns with Scallop wrapped in bacon
虎虾带子打开嗰胃先~!!

Perfectly Cooked Scallop
3 mins on each side after dipped in the special sauce

Grilled KING Prawn...really BIG BIG Prawn!
The meat is so crunchy and taste like got spring while chewing it
弹下弹下

Cheers ~! And smile to the camera!

Here comes our main course

Well Done Rib Eye Steak

Mayonnaise with shredded bacon served for the grilled potato

Portobello Mushroom sauce simmer with wine
the perfect match for the steak

And last but not least its our dessert timee!!

The Ultimate Pairing
Chocolate Cabernet Wine Ice Cream

Wine Ice-Cream served in the Wine Glass
Does it look elegant in it?

hmm...this ice-cream is really up to standard
While you taste the chocolate..its brings up the aroma of the wine too
not too sweet yet with the light taste of the wine
it is so smooth to melt in your mouth
btw dun worry u'll get drunk from this
instead it makes u to ask for more~!

*****

With the light christmas song on air...dim dining lights brighten up by the candles...it was a very happy indeed romantic dinner we had tonight....as its our first christmas dinner together as Mr & Mrs Kwok!

Thanks to hubby for working so hard today and trying his best to prepare the dinner! I rated it 5* out of 10* so that he can keep on trying to make more good food for me in future haha!!
