My Honeymoon Diary : An evening at the Old Town Square

Been walking and walking and keep walking since the morning....we had still a few more sights to cover today!

Next: Church of Our Lady Before Tyn

The Church of Our Lady before Tyn is a dominant feature of the Old Town of Prague. It has been the main church of this part of the city since the 14th century. The church's towers are 80m high and topped with four small spires.

a lot of people stuck at the entrance queuing to go in....because its raining out there

Nothing impressive...everything in the church was so golden golden, and i still think the St. Vitus Cathedral are so much more stunning~!

Next: Lennon Wall

The Lennon Wall is a wall in Prague. Once a normal wall, since the 1980s it has been filled with John Lennon-inspired graffiti and pieces of lyrics from Beatles songs.

Imagine ~ John Lennon
its just too irresistibly beautiful

when we were there, there's a group of italian student's tour there too
most of them are holding the umbrellas even its just the tiny drops of rain
my sewed hat even got hooked by the umbrella...benci betul~!

 stretched of the Lennon Wall

we waited till that group of students left only be able to take this 'clean' picture

love padlocks found on a small pedestrian bridge next to the Lennon Wall over a sidearm of the Vltava in front of water wheel

if i not mistaken, they must be copy cat the idea from china....haha
we've seen a lot of these there

Next: Old Town Square

There was a lot of shops along the walk to the Old Town Square. Nothing much to say about the souvenir shop, except one very special ~ The Puppets Shop.

i was so excited wanna get a puppet home as souvenir. But looking at the puppets it was rather Scary than cute. Some even looks so evil 邪. Perhaps it works as a perfect gift during July (on the chinese calendar) or during Halloween!

im so scare looking at the puppets, not even dare to touch them
the shopkeeper is so kind and good, he knew we for sure not buying anything
but he is still very friendly and keep asking us to take more photos...
finally i found this cute little Pinocchio ~

Astronomical Clock @ Old Town Square
it doesn't tell the time instead it was meant to mark the phases of the moon, the seasons, and the Christian holidays.

It was such a great inventions but it had a sad legend behind too. Its said that one of the clock's designers was blinded by the municipal council after he finished repairing the masterpiece so that he couldn't build an even more spectacular clock somewhere else.

Old Town Square....it sounds just so normal in english...but if you do know Jolin Tsai, perhaps you have heard about her songs of this square 布拉格广场

 the old town square

folk dance performance at the center of the square

couldn't find the scene from Jolin's MV....
(saved budget and shoot at with the green background like most Hollywood movie did....)

 food stall

 biscuit stall

 snack stall

fry churros

and from far some smell is leading us ....
oh wow!! its the BBQ pork ~ Yummy!

there is no english menu at the stall, we dunno how to place order and dunno how much of it...so we just standing aside and looking at other people eat....2 poor little chinese tourist...sob sob

finally there is something we know how to read.....

 yeah~! Its the HOTDOG!!!
only 19 czech koruna (RM3.5)
its the cheapest DOG we found at the old town square accidentally...
after we bought this HOTDOG,  only we notice that other stall also got sell hotdog but its in Czech words
and yet it was all selling at about 60 czech koruna (RM10) ..uhh lucky us!

after this pic took, the HOTDOG had become HARDDOG and COLDDOG!
the baguette that wrap the DOG is hardened by the cool weather and the "hotdog" has no longer hot

That evening, after walking around the old town square, hubby falls asleep right after we were back to the hotel...and he couldn't wake up to go for dinner ...not even a shower
so the HOTDOG which suppose a snack had became our dinner.
It's ok...save for today...tomorrow we'll have a kao kao meal~!
