It was my first time preparing the classic italian dessert ~ tiramisu at home ...and i was trying on a recipe that is for vegetarian....No Eggs Used!
However i failed this experiment ...so sad ...sob sob....
its looks nice when i decorated it with the cocoa powder and the shaved chocolate topping
1. i did not used egg...instead im using the thickened cream (genuine recipe is using eggs...i dunno why i choose to make the vegetarian version instead of the genuine version...im still wandering y)
2. i not able to get any marsala wine for the cream seasoning...and i substitute it with ribena
3. worst is...i over pour the ribena to the cream mixture...and it turns to be pinkish pinkish purple..instead of white cream color and it taste a bit sour sour sweet and no light wine aroma
4. i bought the wrong lousy instant coffee powder...which is totally a failure...it dun have the strong coffee smells that really failed my tiramisu alot
5. i dip the lady finger with too much of the lousy coffee and its was too wet and it makes the lady finger too soft and not likely to chew
so much of failing point..so this time im not able to share the failure recipe
but now i identify all the problems....ok..wait and see when is my italian mood come again and i shall try my second attempt ...and that time i will wanna make the genuine style one...and hopefully i can success and be able to share the recipe soon~!
