Palm Hill Cafe @ Shangrila Putrajaya

We were working on a project at Putrajaya since 2008.....and up till now we are still working on it......there's nothing wrong with our work efficiency....just there were some issues that keep holding us back.

Anyhow...one of the colleague involved in this project were soon to be transfer to other branch. So to appreciate his help throughout this project, we did a farewell lunch with him yesterday.

Basically we were not too familiar with any nice restaurant around Putrajaya... and of course we wont just buy him a lunch from the foodcourt only. Therefore, we went to the Palm Hill Cafe at Shangrila Putrajaya.

nice lookup from the lobby hall

there was a garden exit just next to our dining table
the view out there is nice and it will be absolutely stunning if its at night
i din snap a photo of it...maybe you should come and see it yourself

pastries with sup daging or tomato soup

appetizer bar

lovely decorated starter
i took one of this...hmm so happy to see caviar on top of the tuna
one big bite over it....yee....y it taste sour sour one??
only i realize those were not caviar...its just a bunch a wild berries
=.="

green mussels and prawns....no fresh oyster

salad bar

yum...roasted beef in thin slices with black pepper sauce

very nice satay and with a few western dishes which not really attractive

no sushi bar but there is japanese teppanyaki

this is my first round...

traditional malay's salad

and their favourite...all sort of ikan bakar

im not too fancy in ikan bakar or the malay salad
so i just took more satays in my second round

*****
Third round to go is dessert time~!

cheese cake...kuih talam....ondek-ondek...

strawberry cakes..fruits cakes...jelly...tarts...

chocolate cakes...coffee cakes....kacang balls...

*****

We had a very full lunch here....but just feel its not too exciting after-all. Its more on Malaysian cuisine with minor International choices and yet most of my favorites food were missing in action. I may not be back for the buffet again, perhaps a cup of coffee at the terrace with stunning view over Putrajaya are much interesting~!
